The Ford Trucks Equestrian America Balloon Festival will be held on September 8,9, 2007 at Highfields Showgrounds in Aiken, South Carolina. Ford Trucks is proud to host this gathering of Equestrian Exhibitors in one of America’s fastest growing Equestrian Communities…Aiken, South Carolina.
Aiken is synonymous with horses. It’s annual equine-related revenues reached $65 million last year. Aiken is an equestrian paradise, with polo, steeplechase, western, dressage, fox hunting, carriage driving, show jumping, thoroughbred racing and much more. The majority of the new land developments being created in Aiken are equestrian communities.
Festivities begin each morning as twenty plus hot air balloons take off to race for $10,000 in prizes. Following the balloon lift off, attendees will be able to visit over 100 equestrian exhibitors. Exhibits will feature everything from tack, trailers, nutrition, jewelry, trucks, barns, insurance, fencing, clothes, real estate, tractors, publications, etc., In addition, two exciting polo games will be played each day along with a range of seminars from purchasing a horse to nutrition to hauling horses. Each polo game will take on a special theme such as Battle of the Sexes as an all men’s team goes head to head with an all ladies team.
Attendees will receive a special treat on Saturday night as the balloons come back to the field for a Balloon Glow. At dusk the balloons will be tethered as they light their burners to create an awe-inspiring light show. Guests are invited on to the field where they can walk among these illuminated giants.
Admission is free to all events with a donation to the families of our Service Men and Women from Fort Gordon Army Base. One hundred percent of all donations will go to the families.

Directions to Highfields Show Grounds From I-20
I-20, Take Exit 22 at US Hwy1, at end of ramp go towards Aiken.
Follow 7-8 miles to second light in town. (Sunoco gas on left).
Turn LEFTat light onto 118 bypass.
Merge RIGHT at first light onto Beaufort Street.
Go through one light, before second light, turn LEFT on Barnwell Ave (Discount Tobacco store on right, Credit Union on LEFT).
Continue to stop sign, cross over dirt road SIGN \" Welcome to Highfields\"
