On December 2 and 3, 2011 a new holiday tradition will begin in Aiken. Local Pastry Chefs and Artists will create Gingerbread Barns to be on display at The Willcox Hotel. This will be a fundraiser for Toys for Tots and several horse related charities. Admission is an unwrapped toy. On December 2nd a silent auction will be held to sell the Gingerbread Barns. One hundred percent of the silent auction receipts will be divided evenly between the Aiken County Pony Club, STAR, Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame Museum and Equine Rescue of Aiken.
The Gingerbread Barns will be available for viewing from 3:00 to 10:00 PM on December 2nd and from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on December 3rd. Silent Auction winners will be able to pick up their Gingerbread Barns on Sunday December 4th. To add to the festivities carolers will be singing Christmas carols each night.

An event for the entire family is coming to Palm Beach Polo and Country Club on May 12 & 13, 2012. The Ford Trucks Polo and Balloon Festival has something for everyone. This will be a weekend of hot air balloons, polo, music, food, vendors and much more.
Each morning dozens of hot air balloons will take off from the polo fields in a mass ascension. Attendees are invited to walk among the six and seven story balloons as they inflate and lift off. On Saturday night the balloons will return to the field for a Balloon Glow. All of the balloons will be tethered as they light their burners to create an awe-inspiring light show. Festivities also include polo games that will be played after the balloons take off and prior to the Balloon Glow.
To honor our Service Men and Women we will take over twenty wounded warriors on balloon rides throughout the weekend.

2012 Highlights
The Black Tie Blue Jeans dinner on Saturday September 29th will honor Leslie Hiner with the Polo America Lifetime Achievement Award, Chuck Weaver , Lando Simonneti and Geannie Sheller will receive the Polo Angels awards.
The 2012 Polo America Expo will set a world record for longest arena polo game. Fifty chukkers will be played on Saturday September 29th.
The Polo Pony Sale will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday September 30th
