< An event for the entire family is returning to Aiken on October 28-30, 2011. The Ford Trucks Polo & Balloon Festival has something for everyone. The Festival will be held at Stormbranch Equestrian Club. Thirty thousand people are expected to attend.
Thirty plus hot air balloons will take off each morning at 6:30 AM. A mass ascension is an amazing site. Guests are invited to walk among the six and seven story balloons as they inflate and lift off. On Saturday night each balloon will inflate and hit their burners and illuminate their envelopes. As the balloons glow the U.S. Army Signal Corp. Band will perform a patriotic concert. As a special treat for the Children they are invited to come in their Halloween costumes and trick or treat between balloons at the Glow
On the Polo side, there will be exhibition matches provided by Stormbranch Equestrian Club.
In addition to the balloons and polo events there will be a carnival and jump houses for the kids, pony rides, tether balloon rides, military displays, vendors, food and drinks. Proceeds will go to the families of our Service Men and Women from Fort Gordon.
Attendees will also be treated with a complimentary copy of the Aiken Equestrian Yearbook for supporting the troops.
